Unceasingly drawn to the sea, Ocean Bound’s Julien Bouchard and Kristen English are an alternative folk music duo who perform a multitude of genres including folk, celtic, indie, pop, and rock. Brought together by choral music in the maritimes, both musicians are highly trained and are equally comfortable in the contemporary and classical worlds.

 

Having made music together for over a decade, they regularly perform at both public and private events from Newfoundland to Ontario.

 

Kristen’s clear, shimmering and agile voice blends effortlessly with Julien’s deep, resonant tone creating rich, captivating harmonies supported by Julien’s lush and skillful guitar playing. Ocean Bound’s enchantingly masterful artistry paired with their charming and dynamic stage presence brings joyous energy to audiences both large and small.

Ocean Bound has a large repertoire of covers spanning several genres, and also creates their own music. They draw inspiration from musicians such as The Once, Nickel Creek, and The Rankin Family, among others. Offstage, they spend their time bouldering, hiking, gardening, and cooking together. They are devoted to their cats, Cecil and Azalea.
